ABOUT THE CONFERENCES
The International Conference on Knowledge, Economy and Management (ICKEM) brings together various researchers of the information revolution in academia and industry, engineers and social scientists or scholars and graduate students to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Knowledge Management, Knowledge Society and Knowledge Economy, and to discuss challenges encountered and solutions adopted. ICKEM2011 has a very special place as it is one of the very few continious conferences regularly held in this area. Conference languages are English and Turkish with translations.

PAPER SUBMISSION
All full paper submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. The full paper submissions will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability, and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program. The accepted full papers will be published in the refereed conference proceedings. Prospective authors are kindly invited to submit full text papers including results, tables, figures and references. PROCEEDINGS
The Refereed Conference Proceedings reviewed and indexed by ASOS Academia will be distributed both in Electronic CD-ROM Format and Proceedings Book. The Refereed Conference Proceedings Book and CD-ROM will be included in each Conference Registrant's Packet.

SPECIAL JOURNAL ISSUE (The JKEM)
ICKEM2011 has teamed up with the International Journal of Knowledge Economy and Knowledge Management for publishing a Special Journal Issue on Advances in Knowledge Economy and Knowledge Management . All submitted papers will have opportunities for consideration for this Special Journal Issue. The selection will be carried out during the review process as well as at the conference presentation stage. Submitted papers must not be under consideration by any other journal or publication. The final decision will be made based on peer review reports by the guest editors and the Editor-in-Chief jointly.

CONFERENCE VENUE:
International University of Sarajevo Campus - Ilidza, Sarajevo, BiH.
The campus is close to the airport. From Sarajevo International Airport you can either take a taxi to International University of Sarajevo or the nearby hotels which costs 10 Euros.

ACCOMMODATION:
We have been providing  accommodation in the dormitory for registered participants. Conference participants and accompanying people may make their hotel reservation through contacting directly local hotels from the following list below alternatively. Accommodation fee is between 30-80 Euros single room per person (Bed &Breakfast).

WEATHER IN SARAJEVO:
Generally in June the weather in Sarajevo is quite warm and temperature is around 20 degree celcius day time, but pretty cool during nights. Nowadays there weather is mostly rainy and at nights pretty cool. Therefore you are recommended to take your umbrella and convenient clothings for chilly evenings, such as a cardigan. You may make use of some swimming pool and spa, hot spring facilities of hotels in Ilidza. (such as Hotel Terme, Hotel Hollywood or Termalna Riviera). You had better take your swimsuit with you.

Money in BiH is called Konvertibl Mark (KM pronounced as ka-ehm). 1 Euro(€) equals 1,95KM and currency is fixed to Euro. You can change Euro banknotes in banks and post offices.

VISA FOR BiH Citizens of  the Republic of Turkey are exempted from the visa requirement when entering, exiting or travelling through Bosnia and Herzegovina to 90 days. Please contact for citizens of other country: Ministry of Foreign Affairs BiH  

SOCIAL PROGRAM:

1. 501th Ajvatovica Festival Jun 26th, 2011Ajvatovica is the largest traditional, religious and cultural Islamic event in Europe; moreover, it is also the greatest surviving traditional, cultural and religious Bosnian Muslim festival. The beginning of the festival is marked by various religious, cultural and sport activities. Ajvaz-dedo, for whom a spring and its surroundings have been named (Ajvatovica), was a devout Muslim who arrived in Prusac after the Ottomans had conquered Bosnian lands. Ajvaz Dedo was an enlightened man who worked tirelessly to educate the native people of his new homeland and who made great progress in so doing.
2. A trip to Mostar June 25th 2011.  Mostar is a medieval city strategicly located in the Herzegovina region of the country with the world famous Ottoman bridge on the Drina river connecting the Mediterranean and the continental climates and sections of the country. Mostar enjoys several historic monuments and mosques as well as a lively tourist and hospitality industry. Divided between Catholic and Muslim quarters the city is proud of its own culture and ways as the third largest urban area in Bosnia after Sarajevo and Banja Luka.
